I filed my 2025 return but I received a rejection based on the AGI information. When I try to open the file to fix it, I get the File Corrupted error. How can I fix this and re-send this return?

First, restart your computer.
Then, clear your cache. Here's how to do that.

Then try to open the file again.
If you need extra time, filing an extension by April 15, 2026, moves your submission deadline to October 15. But remember any taxes owed are still due in full by the original April 15 date.
Thank you! I did all of that and it did not fix my problem. If I have to re-enter all of the information on this return, will I have to pay to file again? Will the IRS know that the original was rejected and this is the re-send?
If the file is still corrupt then I'm afraid that there's nothing to be done. You should check your computer for a .bak or .tax file to make sure there isn't a backup of the file saved somewhere. If not then you will have to re-create the file.
The IRS will definitely recognize the return as an a re-send of an original return. The TurboTax system may recognize that you have already filed because of the social security number match but it may not - if it tries to charge you again you can contact support and see if they can combine the two files.

I just reprocessed it and paid the fee twice. Maybe that is what Turbo Tax wanted to begin with. Since the corruption happened after an Update, like everyone else.
Thank you though!
If your tax return was rejected, TurboTax doesn't charge to make the correction and resubmit. However, if when you went back to your return you had to add additional forms or upgraded to a different version there might be a price increase.
If you are getting charged to resubmit, you can contact our customer service:
