1040-ES

Have a 1040-ES related question …
After e-filing our taxes, our quarterly payments are in the $6500.
We sent in a payment already on March 1 which has been recorder by the IRS.
The payment was in the amount of $10,000.
This was of course before we knew the quarterly payment would actually be $6500.
Question:
When we send in the second 2022 1040-ES should it be the $6500 or should we only send in $3000 ?
They total would be the same [$13,000].
Not sure how the IRS would treat the reduced 2nd payment
We expect to make the June payment in full..
We expect to make the June payment for the full amount on the voucher

The $10,000 you sent in on March 1 was your 1st estimated payment due on 4/18. Your  2nd payment is due on June 15. If  you want to pay quarterly payments of $6500, then your June payment should be $3000. If you send in $6500 on June 15, then you will be sending in an extra $3500 on your estimated taxes.
