I am trying to get an early jump on preparing W2s for our employees. I'm using TurboTax Business 2024, and have elected to complete W2s online using Quick Employer Forms.
When entering information on the W2, we keep getting an error message indicating that the amount in Box 3 (Social Security Wages) is too large. We have employees that earn more than the 2024 social security wage base maximum of $168,600, and have entered that max figure ($168,600) in the Box 3 field. Quick Employer Forms won't let us proceed, indicating that the max figure that can be entered in that field is $160,200, which is the 2023 figure.
Can TurboTax please update the limit on that field so that we can continue preparing our W2s.

Quick Employer Form is a really old program with terrible users interface. I had used it and never liked it. I assume QEF will update the max SS wages within the next week or so, if you can wait.
A friend told me employers could prepare and print W-2 forms online with SSA though I've never done that. You may want to try that if you can't wait. Good luck!
To file W-2 online with SSA, you need to12:
Alternatively, you can file Forms W-2 and W-3 electronically on the SSA’s Employer W-2 Filing Instru...2.
Thanks so much for your suggestions. I do have another way to file W2s if Quick Employer Forms is not updated soon, but it's certainly a frustrating inconvenience to have to file W2s using one method, and our 1099s using Quick Employer Forms.
I primarily made this post with the hopes that Intuit would see it and make the simple update to Box 3 to roll forward the maximum amounts from 2023 to 2024.
