Hi,
My imported forms from brokerage account had some qualified income for dividends. Its included in the 1040 in 9b field.
In scheduleD, turbotax has selected yes for Question 22. (extract below). But I dont see the worksheet. Instead only the smart worksheet. Is there a reason for turbotax not to include the worksheet (because i claim standard deduction) ...eventhough IRS expects it.
Do you have qualified dividends on Form 1040, line 9b, or Form 1040NR, line 10b?
[Yes. ] Complete the Qualified Dividends and Capital Gain Tax Worksheet in the instructions
for Form 1040, line 44 (or in the instructions for Form 1040NR, line 42).

TurboTax automatically calculates your tax to produce the lowest tax either by utilizing the qualified dividend worksheet or other tax worksheets. It is not a required form that needs to be filed with the IRS.
