Prior Year AGI

Am I only one who would like to know why TurboTax requires you to enter last years AGI when it's in the prior year return you import at the start of your return. It's almost like TurboTax does not want to take responsibility or trust their own software.

At the very least stop waiting until 3/4 way through the electronic filing process to ask for it.

I so hope my state is included in the free IRS filing next year.

Prior Year AGI

TurboTax Free Edition: TurboTax Free Edition ($0 Federal + $0 State + $0 To File) is available for those filing Form 1040 and limited credits only, as detailed in the TurboTax Free Edition disclosures.

IRS requires AFI information as a way to verify your identity.  Not all customers have a prior year return with TurboTax.

Gee, no kidding? My question was why when you have last years return, further it was imported at the start of the return.

Maybe try reading a bit before answering.
