**** UPDATING on March 20, 2025 after new TurboTax version 2024.r23.034 released this morning 3/2025. Note that if you used the FILE->PRINT, the panel offering you to select which type of returns do you want to print (returns only/returns with worksheets/all) is now properly displayed and allows you to either preview/open, Print or Save a PDF.
What is still partially broken is trying to use the Steps by Steps "Print Returns" button from the File tab and Save For your Records panel. It looks like TurboTax has now disabled the type of returns selection panel and brings you straight to their "returns with worksheets" default.
So yes, you can somewhat print but if you want to know what you are printing/saving (especially if you need to mail a return), use the TurboTax menu PRINT-> FILE.
FOOD FOR THOUGHTS to TurboTax Communication and QA Managers : you definitively need to take some communication training 101 class when it comes to sending a welcome but very late mass email to all users reporting this PRINT failure bug. It would not have cost you much effort to also include the well-documented workarounds that your Users and Customers have long been posting and re-posting. Instead as of yesterday, there are still so many users posting that they are stuck not able to print and unaware of these workaround. Just saying... Email Communication 101 and releases notes would go a long way
*** UPDATING on March 12 with new version which is still listed as 2024.r.21.027. Only difference from March 6 is the About TurboTax lists "Topics" as 230 instead of 228 and the date. All other versions are identical to March 6 previous install and Print still doesn't work. Workaround from Tab "File" and then menu File->Print Preview allows you to be able to print your returns if you then make sure to click on "preview" icon (2nd from the right as download icon does not work either) on panel then displayed. Kudos to "Maukro" for this detailed workaround!
*** UPDATING on March 6 with today's new release of TurboTax version 2024.r21.027. Well The TurboTax Print saga for Mac Desktop continues. Still NO WORKAROUND and impossible to PRINT any tax return !!!! Now this borders on ridiculous. And I tried all workarounds.
Hello TurboTax QA and Dev Team? Anyone home? We are now getting close to 1 month from April 15th and you still cannot fix "print"?
*** Original post ***
Unbelievable! On March 4, 2024 TurboTax Premier Print function bug is still not fixed for Mac Desktop on Ventura latest mac os 13.7.4 update.
I saw a thread and started 4 weeks ago and with users still reporting the issue a few days ago. Unbelievable that TurboTax has still not fixed it properly on build 2024.r20.026.
I am a 20+ years user of TurboTax on the mac platform. I have never seen such a poor QA 101 job and never encountered a basic print functionality failure as late as March in the tax season.
PLEASE FIX asap. It reflects badly on Intuit and TurboTax. Thank you.

The experience you described has been reported and is currently being addressed by the development team. It is tentatively scheduled to be fixed by the end of this week. You are not alone; there are many MAC users that can't print, so rest assured, it is a top priority. Thank you for your patience! @les_rjtt
Thank you for the quick update! I really appreciate that there is a commitment from TurboTax to have this issue finally fixed this week. Being able to save a print / PDF copy of any tax return should not take over 4 weeks before being resolved.
It would also go a long way if TurboTax provided a list of issues fixed with each new update. It used to do this way back then and was very helpful instead of being left guessing. My 2 cents --or now nickel -:) -- worth of feed-back to dearly missed support help.
Thank you for joining us for the event today.
Patience was disappointed with this week's release as PRINT function for Mac Deskop still totally broken. Getting tiresome to try every possible workarounds and time to discover this "top priority" still not addressed releases after releases!

Hello TurboTax QA and Dev Team? Anyone home? We are now getting close to 1 month from April 15th and you still cannot fix "print"?
The updates have made to the program. Here are a few options to ensure your program is using the latest version.
Follow the steps in this link to make sure your program is up to date.
If that does not work, you can also use these steps to manually update your program.
I can attest that this is holding up my finishing to file my taxes, as I need a printed/pdf copy to review and file for my records before I will file.
I too am having this printing (non printing) problem.
Thanks, JohnQ.
Still not working: 2024.r21.027
If this is the latest build...
Yea, I've never seen this be an issue with TurboTax / MacInTax (former) and have been using this for as long as I can recall. What gives?
I ran updates to my Mac in the last day, and am able to successfully print a return to a PDF. Are you able to print to a PDF?
If not, please visit this help article to sign up for updates on this issue.
Same issue continues 12:00 EDT 3/12/2025 (following 3/11/2025 TT update) on
Community>Discussions>Taxes>After you file>Unable to Print Return.
No response there yet from Employee Tax Expert MonikaK1 to an inquiry about current status of fix, which has been hoped for by several Employee Tax Experts (there and here) "by the end of the" [several past] "week"[s].
Yes. This is still an issue. I am as up to date as can be. 2017 iMac 21” 3.6 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7 running Ventura with the latest update 13.7.5 (build 22H520) and TurboTax App: 2024.r21.027 Build Mar 11, 2025 at 3:10:47pm.
It goes into “this will take 2-3 minutes” and the dialog goes away and nothing appears to happen.
This is a different problem but I completely agree with you!! For Turbotax to answer with oh don't worry you aren't alone. Many others can't print their returns either is utter nonsense!!! Turbotax charges WAY too much money for them not to get it together already.
My issue is a bit different. Turbotax app says my return was accepted, processed and my dd date is March 20th. The IRS app says it's been accepted that's it. I did not know until I was reading these questions that Turbotax ESTIMATES these dates!!
If my return is not deposited on the 20th this will be the last time I use Turbotax. Way too many issues. Seems like another company that takes our money on false promises.
I suspect that the TT programmers have overlooked something about our vintage-to-them Intel Mac hardware or Ventura (macOS 13) operating system software in their efforts to date.

As I posted yesterday, any Mac users who are still NOT able to print to PDF should visit this help article to sign up for updates on this issue.
The issue doesn't affect all Mac users. My Mac can and has been able to print to PDF all season. I completely sympathize with those who can't. I don't have direct access to the developers, but will continue to look for updates.
Also, TurboTax has no control over when a refund will be received by the taxpayer once the return is handed over to the IRS. Many factors can affect refund timing after the IRS receives a tax return. Although the IRS issues most refunds in less than 21 days, the IRS cautions taxpayers not to rely on receiving a refund by a certain date, especially when making major purchases or paying bills. Some returns may require additional review and may take longer. The easiest way to check a refund's status is by using Where's My Refund? on IRS.gov or the IRS2Go app.
