Platform differences

Need the premiere version.  Trying to understand the difference between platforms and if features and usability are the same or not

• Disc bought in  store (for Mac)
• Download from web site (I think this is identical to the disc)
• Doing it online from the website (I know it is stored online, but are there any other differences)
• The iPad app (I know this is also stored online and I heard the interface is better than the browser one)
• The Android app (Might be identical to the iPad one?)
• Chromebook app (I think this comes from google play so is the same as the Android one)

I am asking because I usually buy the disc for my Mac, but my OS is too old and won't install anymore.  I need to find a new platform and trying to determine which is the best way to go.

I can confirm that your first two bullets are the same thing - whether you download the software onto your desktop or copy the software from the CD to your desktop, it's the same software, esp. since there are constant updates to be downloaded to the desktop during Tax Season.

I can't speak to any differences with the App or the online version
