Parent's claim rejected due to error on dependent's return.

Parents return was rejected because son filed his own taxes but did not check off box that he can be claimed as a dependant. The 1040-X form does not show where I can correct this. How do I proceed since his return was e-filed and has been accepted. 

Also how does this affect the parent's e-filed returns as they have been rejected, what needs to be done? Please help!

Parents will need to mail in their returns.

Son will need to Amend his return after he has received his Refund.  He can indicate he is a dependent in the MY INFO section.
