Normally, the tax filer's social security number will appear on the top of schedules even though the schedule may be reporting information for the spouse. The tax filer is the first one listed on form 1040, and the name you enter first when you start your TurboTax program. That person's social security number is used for identity in case the forms are printed out and get separated. It is sort of like an ID number, so it may not be associated with the information being reported on a particular schedule.
