Non resident spouse don't have SSN, can i still e-file

I am a alien(H1b visa holder) filing with "married filing separately" option. Since my spouse is non resident and dont have SSN, can i enter dummy number and efile?

No, you will need to print the return to file by mail. On the printed form, write "NRA" where the spouse's SSN is normally listed.

Question is treating myself or spouse as a US resident for the entire tax year, but the large print above is mentioning treating Alien as a resident. Ofc we are res but ?
