Nanny tax (parent as a household employee)

Hello,

I am in the process of getting through a divorce, I live with both my parents and my baby. My mother has been providing childcare when I’m at work; she has been willing to provide it for free up until now since I have mostly been on maternity leave,  but it cannot continue forever. I want to start paying her officially for her nanny work, but I don’t know anything about the process of setting this up, or the taxes I and my mother will both have to pay. Is there a straightforward way to set everything up, or would I have to consult with someone? Who would be the best person to give advice so that everything is covered but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg financially?
