My w2 automatically uploaded but my paper w2 shows a different number for box 15. how do I know which is correct?

You paper W-2 is correct.  Occasionally an upload may misread a number. Box 15 is the state, so that should just be your state's abbreviation.

In order to correct this so that you can file, revisit the W-2 entry. 

Here's how to do this in TurboTax Online:

• Navigate to Federal Taxes,  Wages & Income,  Job (W-2),  Add/Edit
• On the next page select the W-2 that requires an update, using the pencil icon
• Continue through information about company
• Then, correct the information that does not match your W-2 on the screen "Now let's update the rest"
