My return last year was $1,000 This year my return is saying less than $1,000. I work the same job and the only thing that changed is I get paid slightly more. Help?

It's impossible to say for sure what is causing the reduction in your refund with such limited information.  Based on your comment, it could be that as your income increased, the additional amount of withholding was not enough to cover the tax withheld.  For instance, if your income increased by $1,000, and you are in the 22% tax bracket your tax would increase by $220.  If your withholding only increased by $150, there would be a shortfall of $70.  That shortfall would reduce any refund that existed before that last $1,000 of income.
