My divorce was finalized 12/28/2016. I had taxes coming out as married my W-2 is showing married status becuase my last check of the year was married status

So I still file married or divorced?

As you are no longer married on December 31, 2016, you should file as Single.

If you have a qualifying child and pay more than half of the cost of keeping up a home, you can file as Head of Household.

As you are no longer married on December 31, 2016, you should file as Single.

If you have a qualifying child and pay more than half of the cost of keeping up a home, you can file as Head of Household.
