My daughter received survivors benefits. Can I still claim her as a dependent?

Yes.

If your daughter would other wise qualify as a qualifying child dependent, her survivor social security benefits would only prevent you from claiming her as a dependent she used the money to provide more than half of her support.

I was reimbursed by my employer for my tuition, but my parents paid the tuition and got the refund from my employer. Does it count as my employer-provided assistance?
