My boyfriend does not work and he lives with me. Can I claim him on my taxes?

You might be able to, if:

(1) Nobody else can claim him as a dependent (e.g. parents).

(2) His gross income was less than $4,050 in 2016.

(3) He lived with you for all of 2016.

(4) You provided more than half his support for 2016.
