If you have a refund and requested that it be mailed to there is a possibility that the check will be returned to the IRS. To will need to send in Form 8822 to notify the IRS with your correct mailing address.
If you having your refund directly deposited the incorrect address will not affect the delivery of your refund. You should still submit the change of address to notify the IRS with your correct mailing address.
Are you referring to the +4 on the ZIP+4? That's unnecessary.
I didn’t put it in last year and I had all the information I had from last year on it and didn’t checked it when I filed my taxes out this year but it took longer for me to get it
