Your AGI should not reject because of the address on your tax return.  If you can't get get your AGI accepted, you may want get a copy or a transcript from the IRS to see what they have on file.. The AGI is required by the IRS to e-file your return this year to verify your identity, if you can't get it accepted you can still file by mailing in a paper return.

You can get free transcripts of your federal return from the IRS - Get Transcript

To order a copy of your return from the IRS you may use this form, there is a $50.00 fee

Request for Copy of Tax Return

You can then find your AGI on your tax forms:

Hello, This did not resolve my issue. I have my 2016 return. I have the AGI. It's saying it doesn't match, but it does. I believe it's because my tax preparer entered my address incorrectly last year, so things aren't matching.

The address makes no difference.  All the IRS checks for it the dollar amount of the AGI.

See this TurboTax FAQ on how to find your 2016 AGI

If you filed late last year there is a good chance that the 2016 AGI never was entered into the e-file  database.  Try using 0 (zero) for the AGI.

If you filed an amended return use the AGI on the first filed tax return.

If it continues to reject then the AGI in the IRS database might be in error.  Mail filing is the only option.

E-file rejects with error IND-163: Return already rejected multiple times for AGI or self-select PIN. You can no longer e-file using these methods, print and mail your return instead.

I have a copy of my 2016 return.  I'm entering in the AGI that is on my 2016 return. I've never e-filed before, but I don't think that would cause the issue. I am filing by mail (unfortunately), and I wrote a letter explaining what I think is causing the issue.  I think they're struggling to verify my identity b/c my tax preparer has been filing with the incorrect address for many years

What reject code did you get.

You can put any address you want on your tax return that you want your mail sent to.  It makes no difference.  It is not used to identify you.

It's saying that my AGI does not match, but I'm entering in the exact information from line 4 on my 2016 Federal Return.  I'm not sure why I've gotten the error multiple times.  I will have to submit by mail unfortunately.

It is common for the IRS AGI database to be in error.  Mailing is the only option if entering zero does not work.
