This is not so much a question as more of a feedback for improvement to Turbotax. For Minnesota Schedule M1M and Line 29 instructions, there is a note that states : Note: You cannot receive this subtraction for pension payments based on service for which you also earned credit toward Social Security
benefits and are therefore eligible to receive Social Security benefits based on the same service.
Turbo tax does not ask the question whether your employment wages were earning Social Security credits. Turbo Tax automatically filled out the form and gave me a 12,500 deduction which flagged an audit for me. The Minnesota M1 Form needs to include the question wheather the wages while employed earned Social Security credits so the form gets filled out correctly.
