I plan to use a debit card to pay current (2020) individual 1040 federal tax. As backup, I can still use bank account ACH or mail check. The problem is that the debit card has daily payment limit, so I am trying to figure it out how to use it as much as possible.
According to https://www.irs.gov/payments/frequ"e"n"c"y-by-type-of-tax-payment (please remove double quotes), there is "2 per year" for "Form 1040" and "Current Tax Due". Does it mean 2 payments in all for all payment methods (cards, ACH?) or 2 per card processor (payUSAtax, pay1040, ACI?). My understanding is that papercheck has no limitation so I can always fall back to this method?
