Is there deadline to file amendment for 2022 tax return

Hi,

I need to file amendment for my 2022 return to pay for the 6% penalty of exccess contribution to Roth IRA.  Is there a timeline or deadline to do so?

I want complete my tax return 2023 first and then maybe file work on and file the 2022 amendment like in May or later.  Is it okay?  Or I must also file the 2022 amendment by the April 15 deadline this year.

if you owe additional taxes the answer is no but penalties and interest increase the longer you wait to file.
