Is it possible to import 1099-B from robinhood and others in turbo tax software ?

Hi,

I was using the online version and loved how turbo tax allowed importing of 1099 from brokerage firms. However, the online version is running into limitations and it seems that I will have to download and use the turbo tax software. My question is does the downloaded software also do the seamless import that the online version does so well?

I am unable to find a page that explains the difference in the features of downloaded software vs online, especially around integration with other vendors?

Thanks,

V

Yes the CD/download product installed on your computer allows importing information from financial institutions. See this response from a previous answer: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/taxes/discussion/i-have-5000-trades-i-know-with-your-downloadable-....

"TurboTax Online is not equipped to handle that large a number of trades. It is able to handle approximately 500 transactions per brokerage account. If you have 2000 or fewer transactions per brokerage account you can switch to TurboTax CD/Download. and import the transactions."

I can't verify that it is accurate.

The response tells you how to switch from online to download.
