is download version of 2024 premiere really the same as cd desktop

I once waited too long and had to d/l TT premiere. It turned out to be totally different

from the disc/desktop version I used previously. I had several things that would not

transfer from the previous year. like depreciation, etc. Has this changed? I see TT doesnt even have a 

disc version now but I need the business forms. I dont want to buy it and find out it isnt the same

again.

not quite true. if you purchase a desktop version or an additional $10 (I think) you can order the CD. You don't really need it because the desktop version you buy will be saved in your account. Good for 3 years. after that, you will not be able to open the tax file or reinstall it since it will no longer be supported. So save a copy of your return as a pdf and I would advise a second copy somewhere else because hard drives do go bad as some OPs have found out. 

Here's the link to the 2024 desktop versions. For data to transfer from 2023 to 2024, the 2023 taxfile must be on your desktop.
