Hi, I work in an international organization (Organization of American States) and I am a resident card holder. I found different post but it caused some confusion. Please find below the question:
1. As we don't have w-2 do we need to add this?
2. report your earnings as wages but are not subject to self-employment taxes: How can I do that? Where can I report my income but avoid to self-employment taxes?
3. Would you help me step by step how and where add my 1099 NEC
Thank you in advance
Marcelo Martinez

The 1099-NEC that you received from the International Organization as a Resident card holder is not considered self-employment. It can be entered as other income without having to pay self-employed taxes.
Even though the payment was related to your occupation, this will not be considered self-employment.
