I searched to find out if TurboTax would be able to run on an iPad. Into its official statement is yes it does. That’s only partially true. The app from the App Store which I download it doesn’t have your account information or any way to tell that you are an existing user who has already paid for the CD and the downloads for example number two and this is when I’m logged in it doesn’t actually run the software like it would on a computer it just basically let you do the online e-filing and uses the app is a gateway to it that’s completely different thing first of all not everyone e-filed second of all the software in the online application or wholly different especially if you have a business and employees so basically I still can’t even get to the employer forms unless I put it on my machine. Overall into it is an amazing company with great customer service but this is a real misstep and false promise. I hope that make a real app where you can run TurboTax OFFLINE and not be forced to efile— ALSO you can’t file state extensions vis the app or browser— ONLY with the computer software (OS or Windows). If they actually made an app that was really the SAME as the desktop version (not browser/web based) and had your full account benefits when you log in AND the state forms (for extensions) AND a way to get the employer forms (make 10992 and W2s for employees and vendors) that would be great
