Indiana payment vouchers

I took a payout on my 401k and the amount that was deducted for state and local tax wasn't enough so I needed to pay 1311.00 on my state. On my tax return I have 4 estimated tax payment vouchers of 559 each that were calculated by turbo tax. This was a one time withdrawal that more than doubled my income for this year but my income will be much less next year. If I pay the voucher amount it will cause a substantial overpayment which they also don't like. Do I have to pay these voucher amounts?

No, you are not required to pay the estimated tax vouchers for 2017, which were generated to assist with tax planning and avoiding tax penalties for the current year.

Since the change in your tax situation is not expected to repeat during the current year, the estimated tax payments would not apply (they are not a requirement, just a suggestion based upon the current return).
