In previous years when I filed, I could file someone else's tax simply by clicking "File another return" Why can't I do that now?

You can create and file another return in TurboTax CD/Download (Desktop). Save the return that you are working on. When using the TurboTax CD/Download version, to start a new tax return, in the upper left hand corner, click on File and New Tax Return.
You will be given an option to transfer a 2016 .tax file or continue without transferring a file.
