If you have a 1099 MISC income form but do not own a business or have a business, where is the best area to enter the 1099 MISC?

Why did you get a 1099 MISC?????  If it was the result of you providing a service , you most definitely would be considered self-employed and report it as business income. For tax purposes, if I mow several neighbors lawns for pay, I am in the business of mowing lawns, no other documentation required.

TurboTax Deluxe will handle a limited Schedule C, which is the minimum you will need to report this "self-employment" income (income from 1099-K or MISC are considered self-employment).

To enter your self-employment income, start under Wages & Income > 1099-Misc and Other Common Income > Income from 1099-Misc. Enter the income reported to you.
