Maybe. You will need TurboTax Deluxe to itemized deductions and you will need to itemize to take home ownership credits. However, with the tax law changes that took place in 2017, standard deductions were increased and itemizing may be of no value to you. The easiest thing to do is start out in the Free Edition. You can enter all of your deductions. If it turns out that itemizing will increase your refund, you will be given the option to upgrade to Deluxe. You won't have to start over. If you start out in Deluxe and realize later that you don't really need it, you will have to start over.

You can find your 2018 tax liability on Line 12b of your tax return.
