if I got married last year and am filing joint but never lived in the state my spouse did the first half of the year, how to file without filing state return for me?

He lived in AR until August, and moved here to TN in August when we got married. We want to file joint, but can't see in Turbo Tax where to 'select' just him for the AR return? I never lived there

In order to file a "married filing separately" return for Arkansas you will need to create a federal return for your husband that shows all of his data and none of yours.  Then, when you reach the end, you will tell the system not to file the fake federal return that you have created and only file the Arkansas return.  Make sure that he files as a 'part year resident'.
