• You did not file a tax return last year.
• Your currently at the same job, and you worked all year.

I don't know what you mean by 

• You received new ownership last year.  Did your company get bought out?
• Also, I'm not sure what "I'm confused about money" means.
• Did you get a tax form W-2 from your employer?
• Did you also get one last year?
