I want to pay my nanny's portion of SS and Medicare Tax. How do I do this with Turbo Tax? I have completed Household Employee section but it only includes employer's tax

I completed the Nanny and Household Employee section and see it calculates the Employer portion of Social Security and Medicare Tax due.  However, I want to pay the Employee's share of the tax due as well (about 7.6%).  How do I do this?

I did not withhold the 7.6% from the employees pay.  I checked Schedule H and you are correct. It calculates 15.3% tax on Line 8 so it looks good. Thanks!

Unlike other employers, household employers pay all of the tax but are permitted (not required)  to withhold (and keep) what is withheld form the employee.  At tax time then employer sends in both parts with the employers tax return.    The amount that could have been withheld that the employer is paying for the employee is taxable income to the employee and should be included in the W-2 box 1 wages (but is not itself subject to additional SS or Medicare tax).

If you did not withhold 7.6% of the employees pay then you are paying both your share and the employees share.  The Schedule SE should have calculated a 15.3% amount on line 26 which would go on line 60a on the 1040 form.

Is that not what is there?
