TurboTax is free for roughly 37% of taxpayers, typically those filing a simple 1040 tax return. You can also file free if you’re enlisted active duty or reserve military.

You appear to be using Live Basic (at least that's what is shown under your question.)   The LIVE products are not free.   That Live feature adds a consider amount to one's fee.  Live Basic is essentially Free Edition upgraded to a Live product.   The LIVE products include at-will help from a tax expert during routine preparation and if desired, a review of your return prior to filing.   As long as you stay in a Live product, there will be a fee.   If you don't want it, you may be able to remove the Live product, and hopefully go back to Free Edition.
