Yes, nearly all tax returns can be e-filed. Follow this link for a list of exceptions to that.
Even if none of those situations apply to your return, it is possible that your return can't be accepted for e-file if:
- The IRS says you have an IP PIN and you refuse to use it on your tax return.
- The IRS says you have a 1095-A that you didn't include on your return.
- The IRS says you, your spouse, or dependents are already claimed on another tax return.
- You have an error in Review and you don't correct it.
The bottom line is no one can absolutely guarantee your return can be e-filed and accepted without trying to do so first.
