I've increased my federal tax withholdings for 2019. How/where can I put this increase into calculations to adjust my 2019 1040-ES payments?

As stated, I've increased my federal tax withholding from one income. I want to recalculate my 1040-ES payments.

It shows you are using the desktop program so I have tailored the screenshot below for that - Follow the prompts below or use the search topics / search bar for "W4"

  • Click Federal Taxes
  • Click Other Tax Situations
  • Scroll down to Other Tax Forms
  • Select Form W4 and Estimated Taxes

Follow the prompts and you will be asked a series of questions.  The first will be about Form W4, which you can skip if not needed.  The next series of questions will be about adjusting your 1040ES forms.  The program will base the estimated payments off this years return, but if you anticipate having more or less income next year or if there will be other life changes (i.e you won't be able to claim a dependent anymore), then you can make those adjustments.  You can also make the tax withholding adjustments during this process.  Pay close attention to all the screens in this section because if you leave out an item, such as Child Tax Credits etc, it can make a big difference on your estimated tax payments.  Make sure you check off the box that you want to print the ES forms during this process show that they will show in your pdf
