I've got a Notice of Tax Return Change-Revised Balance from State of California Franchise Tax Board, saying its calculation is different than mine. What does it imply?

it implies either you are going to owe more or you are due a refund. 

best to understand WHY they didn't agree with what you submitted.  Did you use Turbo Tax?
