I received notification this morning that my returns had been accepted and just received a call saying they where not. Everything still shows accepted on my portal, but why would I receive a call sayi

If you received a notification that your return was accepted and it shows accepted on your portal, ignore the call. The IRS will never call to notify you if your return was accepted or rejected, their preferred way of communication is regular mail.
