You can file your 2016 taxes, it's not too late. If you owe money to the government, then you will also have to pay interest and penalty. 

You will not be able to e-file your 2016 tax return, you will have to mail your taxes to the IRS. TurboTax Online is not available for prior-year tax returns. You will have to purchase TurboTax Cd/Download for Windows or Mac and install it on your computer.
