I need to report a bug on Turbotax for the state of New York. Might file an FTC complaint or pursue legal route.
Spoke to customer service agents for 3 hours and got escalated to a senior product expert but still not able to resolve. They basically acknowledged the issue but were not a 100% sure it was a bug.
They basically want me to pay to speak to a live agent to see if it is truly a bug.
This is a potential bug that I would simply like to report but I am getting nowhere.
Compared this with another tax software and they do it correctly. TurboTax is making a mistake for this specific scenario.
Should I escalate via a report to the FTC since this could be affecting thousands of people?
I do not want to disclose the bug publicly since I might want to discuss potential compensation for reporting it.
I would love to chat to a TurboTax employee to report this bug.
