I'm trying to finish my state taxes for California and I might get a penalty because of no insurance coverage. What do I do

If you incur a penalty for not having health insurance coverage in California, you will have to pay the penalty. However, for 2024 you should still qualify for an exemption because DACAs were not able to get health coverage through Covered California.   

As of Nov. 1, 2024, DACA recipients are eligible to enroll in health insurance through Covered California so you would have to have the insurance next year.
