No, you can upgrade if you need to in your current account. You'll see 'upgrade' in the left panel when your return is open. Or if you enter a form or visit a tax topic that requires and upgrade, you will be prompted to do so at that point.

I purchased the software & completed return but it doesnt show up on my online TurboTax account. Anyway to sync the two so it's accessible online in the future?
