I'm being rejected because it says I need a earned income tax form filled out but I claim no dependents.I haven't filed taxes in several years because I was unemployed

You're eligible for the earned income credit even if you don't have dependents.

If you made less than $15,300, then you are eligible.

Fill out Schedule EIC to figure your credit:

1.  Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.  Click Deductions & Credits across the top.

3.  Scroll down to You and Your Family and click Show more.

4.  Click Start or Revisit by Earned Income Credit (EIC).
