I just filed, but my voucher says to mail payment in no later than april 18 2017, i filed this exact day, what do i do?

Can I have an extension for mailing in my voucher? If so what what are the steps i need to take to get that done?

There isn't an extension to pay the taxes due. The due date for filing your returns and paying the taxes due was 4/18/2017. The best thing you can do is to https://www.irs.gov/payments mail the payment in as soon as possible or pay the taxes due online:
