I have income on 1099-DIV entered in TurboTax. It shows on my federal income tax return but not on my PA-40 return. How do I get it to show on my PA return?

It depends. When I test the dividends to see if they transfer to Pennsylvania (PA), they carryover as they should.  My scenario is a full year PA resident return.

  1. Check your dividend entry in the federal return. - continue until you reach the Wages & Income screen again.
  2. Select State Taxes > Select Your State Return(s) > Select PA
  3. Go through the income until you reach the screen 'Dividend Income Summary' > Confirm or Edit the amount
  4. Continue through the PA return.

Once finished you can do a 'View Tax Summary' for your PA return to check the dividend total.

On the menu bar on the left that shows.

  1. Select Tax Tools
  2. On the drop-down select Tools
  3. On the pop-up menu
  4. Select View Tax Summary
  5. Select PA tax Summary On the left sidebar, under  Preview my 1040
