I have a 1099 with income I never received and it says I didn’t pay taxes on it

I would contact the issuer of that Form 1099 and request that money. I would wait to file your taxes until you either clear that up or talk to the IRS.

If you did not receive that money/income, then you should not report it.

I would contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and explain what is going on so they can investigate.

If you don't do that or list it on your return, the IRS receives that same Form 1099 so they will send you a bill.
