I have 2 qualifying children. I am only getting 1 for $2k on child tax and the other is giving as just a dependent so only $500. I am getting $2500 not $4k

One child must be over age 16. Only $500 credit is allowed for that child. The younger one gets $2,000 for a total of $2,500.
