You would file all three forms of income unless the 1099-MISC is the same dollars that was reported on the W2. If that is the case,  you need to request a correction.

To enter a W-2:

  • Type W-2 in the search box and click search.
  • Click on Jump to W-2.
  • Enter your information.

To enter a 1099-Int:

  • Type 1099-int in the search box and click search.
  • Click on Jump to 1099-int
  • Enter your information.

To enter your 1099-MISC:

  • Type 1099-misc other income in the search box and click search.
  • Click on Jump to 1099-misc other income.
  • Enter your information.
  • When asked what the 1099-MISC is for, type in 'class action lawsuit settlement'.
  • When asked 'Does one of these uncommon situations apply?' check 'This money was from a lawsuit settlement'.
  • You will need to know if the 1099-MISC monies were for back wages or not. Wages are taxed differently and will affect your refund (or amount due). You may need to contact your attorney if you do not know this information.
  • Continue with the onscreen interview.

Double check the year printed on each of those tax forms.  Recently, a major class action lawsuit was settled and folks were getting tax documents for different years, If they are for a year other than 2016, then you will need to amend you tax return for the applicable year.
