I filled dual information for both the self-employed and farm income and expenses sections. Should I have filled out only one of these sections for a small goat farm?

Yes, only fill it out once.

The Schedule F (Farm Income and Expenses) section sounds like the proper place.

To delete the Self-Employed section (Schedule C):

1.       Click Federal on the left-hand side menu.

2.       Click Income across the top.

3.       Scroll down to Self-Employment and click Show more.

4.       Click Start or Revisit by Income and Expenses.

Click the trash can by the double entry.

Check your 1040 to make sure the amounts aren't doubled:

1.       Go to Tax Tools on the left-hand side.

2.       Go to Tools.

3.       Go to View Tax Summary.

4.       Click Preview my 1040 from the left-hand side.
