Has anyone 2018 return been accepted today by irs ? Mine got approved today!

Don't get too excited. The IRS always pulls a small number of tax returns ahead of the official opening date, to test their e-file system. But they don't process those returns until the official start of e-filing, which this year is January 28. You won't get your refund any sooner than someone who files on the 28th.

Yes, other people have had their tax returns selected for testing and have been accepted. There are a few other posts in this forum from people who have had their returns accepted.

I filed on 01/09 and was accepted 01/14/2019

Mine were accepted today 1/15/2019. Says I will receive my refund within 21 days.

I was accepted on the 14th.

@bjones712 did you receive your one bar on WMR then it went away 2 days later with the message stating it can not provide any information on your tax return. I did it happened to me and so has thousands of other people who filed early. They say it will correct itself when tax season opens up officially on the 28th.

@bryanmillerbar yes I have the very same. Sure we'll update on the 28th. Some got accepted today starting like 2 hours ago. Irs opened their phone lines today as well.

I filed on the 28 and got accepted on federal and state on one bar

I filed on the 21st and was accepted on the 22nd and WMR says I'm getting my refund today.
