Unfortunately, an extension to file is not an extension to pay. If you do not make full payment to New Jersey you will incur penalties and interest.

@MaryK4 thank you for your response.
What if do not need the extension and what to file tomorrow? (To avoid late filing. ) Can I do this because I didn't see the option.
And just to be clear, I am a NJ RESIDENT that worked in NY for 6 months in 2021. I filed NY and received my refund from NY. I filed for an extension error, but I DO NOT need an extension for NJ. What would be the easiest to process? (I do not want to file after 4/18)
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the clarification. If you are ready to file New Jersey, you can- the fact that you filed the extension will not affect the return in any way. @keyannaporter
